Which Website Builder Software Should I Use?

I am sure you are aware of the vast range of website builders online and you’ve come here to determine which one is best for you.

Short disclaimer, I have not used all website builders online, but out of the ones I have used I wanted to share my professional opinion of them and which may work best for you if you are looking into building your own website.

Website builders

Below I have listed my favorite Website builders and how they are different and what type of businesses they will most likely work for.

Wix

  • Free (upgrade options available for eCommerce and Premium websites)

  • Hundreds of templates to choose from

  • Unlimited pages

  • Website hosting

Recommended for side hustlers or someone who is just starting out and doesn’t want to break the bank with a high cost website builder. It is an easy to use platform that you can update and add your information to the website and update your own photos.

Shopify

  • Starts at $29/month

  • Many Free and Paid template options designed for eCommerce

  • Unlimited products

  • Sales channels to integrate with social media

  • Abandoned cart recovery

  • Shopify Shipping and Shopify Payments

Recommended for a small business owner that is selling products or services online and may one day scale their business up. Shopify has many plan options if your business does grow and they can support you with that process. In my opinion it is the best eCommerce platform today so if you want to take your business online and start selling and shipping online Shopify is a great option.

Squarespace

  • Personal

    • Starts at $12/month (annual payments)  or $16/month

  • Business

    • Starts at $18/month (annual payments) or $26/month

  • Both options have:

    • beautiful templates that are mobile, tablet and desktop friendly

    • Standard website features

    • eCommerce website features

Recommended for someone who is looking for variety and multiple functions on a more advanced website. You can have a beautiful blog or portfolio website created with their templates, or a business owner can sell their products using their eCommerce package. I would recommend this option to someone who really wants a creative and unique design at a reasonable price, but may also need to have multiple functions on their website. Whether they are selling products or writing blogs.

Which will you choose?

Again these website builders are my personal favorites from my own personal experience, so by no means are these the only options or the best.

I just wanted to recommend my tips for these website builders and who I think they would be best for.

I hope this helped you to determine which website builder may be best for you and your personal or professional website needs.
